Steel Structure Inspector

We are IPLAN GESTIÓN INTEGRAL, a company specialized in engineering services mainly in the electrical sector, civil works, renewable energies, environmental projects and legalizations.

We are part of VULCAIN ENGINEERING, an international French engineering group with a multisectoral approach, working across key areas of infrastructure and energy.

We are currently looking for a STEEL STRUCTURE INSPECTOR to join our team located in Sines (Portugal).

What will your day-to-day look like?

You will perform QA/QC activities for the assigned project, ensuring full compliance with contractual requirements throughout construction, erection and installation activities.

Verify technical conformity regarding execution plans, delivery schedules and manufacturing quality.

Manage and update QA/QC documentation within the corresponding IT systems (EasyPlant, GAIA, etc.).

Analyze data provided by construction contractors and monitor KPI evolution.

Issue QA/QC deliverables such as Pre-Inspection Meeting reports, Pre-JSM, PPs, QCPs, CSHs, among others.

Identify and report deviations or issues affecting deliveries or quality, coordinating recovery actions and following them until resolution.

Contribute to the technical evaluation of offers related to construction Scope of Work.

Support the preparation of performance evaluations for Construction Contractors and Inspection Agencies.

Provide clear, precise and accurate reporting regarding compliance with construction codes and project specifications.

Apply strong knowledge of EN 1090, ENDS, and carry out inspections as a certified Level II Visual Welding Inspector.

What are we looking for?

Education: Technical Diploma or Bachelor's Engineering degree.

Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles.

Proficiency with Office software tools.

Languages: Spanish, English (C1) and Portuguese.

Solid understanding of applicable standards (EN 1090, ENDS) and Level II Visual Welding Inspector certification.

Strong ability to produce accurate and detailed technical reports.
