Interpath launched in Spain in April 2025 and we have already delivered on some of the most high-profile Advisory cases in the Iberian Peninsula. We are growing our existing service lines in Restructuring, Corporate Finance (M&A), Valuations and Debt Advisory and opening new service lines within Transaction Services and Value Creation post deal. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new and fast-growing business. Our Spanish business is lead by a team of highly experienced MDs and they collaborate closely with their colleagues across Europe and globally to provide solutions to the complex issues facing business today.

As a Manager or an Associate Director in the Restructuring & Advisory team in Madrid, you will work with experienced colleagues to deliver multi-stakeholder, international and domestic restructuring & advisory engagements. As part of a small team, the successful candidate will also have an opportunity to take a lead role on some projects and build a broad range of skills and experience within financial advisory.

As part of a small team, the successful candidate will;

• Advise clients including Corporates, Investors, Banks, Lenders or any other stakeholders facing distressed situations.
• Assess the viability of a client by conducting Market assessment, Capital structure analysis, Options review and Cash flow analysis.
• Provide solutions including restructuring proposals & negotiation with stakeholders, contingency planning, Balance Sheet restructuring, Refinancing, debt advisory services and M&A.
• Contribute to performance monitoring following business plan implementation.
• Mentor and train other team members to enhance their development and performance
• Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders through the delivery of value-added client engagements.
• Build strong relationships with clients across the Spanish and European Restructuring & Debt advisory network, becoming a trusted advisor for Restructuring & Advisory challenges
• Collaborate with other service lines to provide integrated financial solutions for client issues
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practice

Education and Experience Required:

We welcome applications from a diverse range of backgrounds within Advisory including Transactions Advisory, Corporate Finance, Valuations, Restructuring, Debt Advisory and Value Creation. Applications from individuals who are looking to make a switch to Restructuring are welcome.

• Strong educational background combined with experience at a Big 4, a boutique advisory, investment bank or a Private Equity firm
• Experience in conducting Capital structure analysis, Restructuring options reviews and Cash flow analysis are advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint including well-developed financial modelling and cash flow model building skills are highly useful in addition to strong analytical and quantitative abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines combined with strong attention to detail
• Fluent business level English and Spanish are essential. Other European languages are welcome.
