professional pathway designed to build deep technical expertise through intensive learning and hands-on experience.

You will work at the intersection of science and policy, supporting countries in applying data and models to concrete sustainability challenges, with the aim of gradually developing into a highly specialised technical expert over the course of your journey with us.

What we offer:

A three-year track toward professional and technical excellence

Year 1 – Immersive learning & project support

Focus:
Core training in international climate reporting (Paris Agreement instruments), public-policy analysis, and modelling (energy, climate, GHG).

What You'll Do:
Combine self-paced study, expert mentoring and hands-on contributions to real projects—ensuring everything you learn is applied directly into practice.

Years 2–3 – Applied Research & International Engagement

Focus:
Deepen technical expertise while working side-by-side with governments contributing on developing scenarios, drafting national reports, meeting international reporting obligations, and refining policy options.

What You'll Do:
Collaborate on high-impact projects worldwide; publish analyses, present findings at in-country workshops, and help refine tools and models with senior scientists.

Minimum requirements
:

• Academic background in a scientific, engineering or technical discipline (e.g. environmental sciences, energy, climate, economics, or related fields)
• Strong analytical and writing skills
• Fluency in English (fluency in Spanish and/or French is an asset)
• Willingness to be based full-time at our office in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), with some travel (up to 2–3 short missions per year)

Working conditions:

• Location
  : On-site at our office in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in a renovated 18th-century palace located in the heart of the historic centre.
• Schedule
  : Full-time position (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, with a standard reference schedule of 9:00–18:00 (including 1-hour lunch break). Occasional adjustments to start or end times are possible, with the expectation that overall weekly hours are maintained. Remote work is allowed on Fridays.
