About The Role
As
Quality Coordinator
, you'll be supporting the daily operations of the Quality Department at our new Ballarat flour mill, ensuring compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.
You'll work closely with the Quality Manager and operations teams to foster a strong Food Safety Culture, embed processes, deliver site GFSI BRCGS certification and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Ballarat site. This role is hands-on and diverse, covering all aspects of GFSI & Customer Food Safety & Quality requirements, including but not limited to HACCP & respective validation activities, internal audit program, allergen management, cleaning & hygiene, pest control, product quality monitoring etc. This role will also be responsible in supporting the Quality Manager with the overall management of the Ballarat Quality Management System.
About You
The suitable candidate will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Food Technology, Science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Quality role within food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and GFSI standards (FSSC 22000, BRCGS, SQF or equivalent), Halal and Kosher.
- Experience managing certification audits and quality related programs
- Proficiency in quality management systems and digital tools (SAP, Office 365 or other)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across teams
