With the introduction of 5GSA core network a shift from silo deployments towards cloud native environment becomes reality. We are looking for a Validation Engineer to join our team, being responsible for the entire lifecycle of our Policy Charging Function for all data services in our Packet Core for the consumer mass market as well as for industrial applications of our business customers. This role will support our transition of our Policy Charging Function into cloud-native converged core architecture, ensuring the high availability, security, and performance of our network functions. You will be responsible for quality assurance, i.e. the integration and validation of our Policy Control Function supplier deliveries in a highly automated environment, working closely with supplier and devops engineers to design, integrate, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot converged core applications.

Tasks

• Integration & validation of Policy Control Function supplier deliveries.

• Develop, implement and execute testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting procedures to maintain high performance, reliability, and compliance of integrated network functions and applications.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native converged core applications.

• Provide and administer the project-specific infrastructure and tool suite for integration and delivery, in particular drafting and preparing scripts.

• Carry out performance analysis, tunings, disaster recovery plans considering also security relevant aspects.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize end-to-end connectivity, address network challenges, and continuously improve integration processes for converged core deployments.

• Provide support for complex projects across development, quality assurance, and project planning.

Must have skills

• 2 years working experience in validation and testing, preferebly in telekommunication area.

• good understanding of Packet Core, preferebly in 5G/EPC core network components and Policy Control functions, interfaces, and protocols.

• experience with DevOps, cloud and CI/CD tools.

• working experience with CI/CD deployments using Shell or Python scripts and tools like GitLab, Jenkins, and others.

• working experience in projects using technologies such as: Helm, Flux, Harbor, Kubernetes CNI deployment and troubleshooting.

• working experiences in monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure network health.

Nice to have skills

• knowledge of microservice architecture as well as cloud-based applications and databases.

• experience in agile forms of cooperation.
