About the role

As Plant Manager, you will oversee the full operational performance of two sites (100+ employees), ensuring production efficiency, product quality, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. You will work closely with technical, quality, and maintenance teams, drive process optimisation, and act as a key link between the plants and senior management.

This is a strategic position with significant visibility and a high degree of autonomy.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day production activities across two recycling plants, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.
  • Manage production KPIs: output, quality, OEE, downtime, waste reduction, and safety compliance.
  • Develop, mentor, and supervise production, maintenance, and quality teams, promoting a positive and high-performance culture.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards through audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Guarantee adherence to safety, environmental, and industrial regulations, and lead safety-training initiatives.
  • Identify improvement opportunities across processes, flows, and equipment; implement Lean/CI practices.
  • Manage budgets, optimize resources and inventories, and prepare operational and performance reports.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, OEMs, technical partners, and corporate stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering or a comparable technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience managing industrial production or recycling plants.
  • Solid background in plastic recycling, polymer processing, extrusion or compounding.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Proven experience leading large teams and driving operational improvements.
  • Hands-on approach with strong decision-making and organisational skills.
  • Native/near-fluent level of Spanish and English at B2 level or above
    (required).
  • Willingness to work in or relocate to Alhama de Murcia (relocation assistance provided).
