Overview:

We are looking for a skilled IT Support Specialist (L2) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling advanced technical issues, supporting end-users, and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with hardware/software, and the ability to work independently on escalated cases.

This engineer will be required to travel for three consecutive days each month to cover two sites in France. These trips will be scheduled in advance and may not be needed every month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated tickets from Level 1 support teams.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and hardware.
  • Support network-related issues, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and firewall troubleshooting.
  • Manage and resolve issues related to Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, and group policies.
  • Provide support for Office 365 / Microsoft 365, email configurations, and cloud applications.
  • Handle IT Service Management (ITSM) activities such as incident management, problem resolution, and service requests using tools like ServiceNow or similar platforms.
  • Maintain and track IT assets, ensuring proper documentation and updates in the asset management system.
  • Support meeting room AV equipment, video conferencing systems, and other office IT infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for hardware repairs or additional technical support.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices.
  • Prepare and update technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and user guides.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in technical support or IT support roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Mac OS (optional), and common office applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Office 365, DNS, DHCP, and networking basics.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA, Zendesk, etc.).
  • Good understanding of ITSM processes (Incident, Request, Problem Management).
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently on escalated issues and manage time effectively.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Azure AD, Intune, or endpoint management tools.
  • Knowledge of meeting room technologies (Zoom, Teams Rooms, Poly, Logitech).
