One of Appodeal's products is AppGrowth: AppGrowth Gives User Acquisition Professionals Performance, Unique Audiences and Efficient Buying.

The Appgrowth team is looking for a Head/Director of Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Continuously define initiatives, build and maintain the Product roadmap to support business goals.

• Designing the Engineering strategy to align with the company's product and business goals.

• Managing platform stability to minimize downtime and ensure the company's business continuity.

• Guiding the product development and innovation processes to drive growth and success for the company.

• Implementing effective cost management strategies to optimize technical expenses and drive business growth.

• Measuring product and technical teams' performance and success using key business metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

• Developing and maintaining relationships with technology partners, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure the company has access to the latest technology and innovations.

• Building and managing high-performing product and engineering teams by recruiting, training, and developing top talent.

• Serving as a liaison between the technical and business teams to ensure a shared understanding of goals, timelines, and resource needs.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience.

• Good level of English.

• Deep understanding of data processing and management.

• Highly technical software engineering background with a hands-on leadership style.

• Proven track record of successfully building software products.

• Ability to mentor and lead technical talent.

• Ability to conduct technological analyses and research.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment and able to shift requirements.

• Based in Barcelona, Spain or ready for relocation.

• Strong Python expertise for engineering scalable and maintainable solutions.

• Experience with distributed systems, streaming data (Kafka), orchestration (Airflow), and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes), and DevOps collaboration.
