As part of a strategic interim management mission aimed at supporting the turnaround of one of our clients — an international investment fund — we are looking for an experienced
Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) (M/F)
to lead the financial and organizational operations of its Spanish subsidiary based in Madrid.

The assignment takes place in a context of
financial and operational restructuring
, involving significant
political and media challenges
.

Mission

The CRO will oversee all
strategic, financial, and operational
aspects of the business, with a strong focus on
finance and general management
, including:

  • Leading the company's
    global turnaround plan
    : performance analysis, definition of financial and operational priorities, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Supervising
    day-to-day financial management
    and
    debt restructuring
    , in close coordination with the investment fund and local stakeholders.
  • Acting as the
    representative of the fund
    within the executive management team: financial reporting, governance, and performance monitoring.
  • Challenging the existing organization and supporting the
    transformation of internal processes
    (finance, procurement, operations).
  • Ensuring
    continuity of field operations
    across a large multi-site network, in close collaboration with regional managers.
  • Leading and supporting
    local teams
    to restore stability and profitability.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in financial management and corporate turnaround (CRO, CFO, or CEO roles in crisis contexts).
  • Dual skill set combining General Management and Finance, with a strong operational finance background.
  • Significant experience in restructuring, turnaround, or crisis management within multi-site organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector or retail with high-volume point-of-sale operations (mandatory).
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, high-pressure environments with significant governance challenges.
  • Solid expertise in financial analysis, cash management, budgeting, and debt restructuring.
  • Strong leadership, pragmatism, and adaptability.
  • Languages: Fluent Spanish and English (French is a plus).
  • Based in Madrid, or willing to reside there for the full duration of the mission.
