About the Role:
The resource will lead projects within Engineering Function and will deal with R&D and Engineering team for technical design, ensuring project consistency to design standards and business guidelines.
Main responsibilities are:
- Leading the project within the Engineering function, ensuring that the product meets agreed technical requirements and coordinating the design team;
- Overseeing Mechanical, Hardware, and Software development according to project specifications;
- Defining and managing the design plan, system architecture, and module breakdown;
- Releasing existing modules into production and verifying them through simulation and virtual commissioning;
- Managing system integration, verification, and final design validation;
- Supporting manufacturing and assembly processes, implementing design adjustments and updating the bill of materials as needed;
- Reviewing and approving final engineering documentation;
- Driving "Design to Cost" initiatives and promoting technical knowledge sharing within and beyond the engineering team;
- Ensuring a smooth handover from R&D to the rest of the organization;
- Leading and supporting the team by setting clear objectives and development plans.
What you need to be successful:
- Mechanical, Automation or Mechatronic Engineering Degree;
- Master's in Engineering or Management;
- At least 7 years of experience in mechanical design;
- Knowledge of modern 3D CAD system, integrated with PLM;
- Good knowledge of pneumatics;
- Familiar with basic functions of ERP;
- Electrical and Software Engineering knowledge;
- Background in packaging machine sector would be highly valuable.
