RegularCompany:Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer CenterDepartment: Ambulatory Services - PediatricsTime Type: Full timeWeekly Hours: 37.5FTE:0.9375Shift: First Shift (United States of America)Summary: Coordinates activities and conducts training of staff members engaged in patient access operations and participates in daily Admission, Discharge and Transfer (ADT) functions. In addition, performs all the duties of a Patient Access Representative, which includes, but is not limited to, assuming responsibility for the effective entry of patients into Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, coordinating and making arrangements for all access-related activities including data gathering, triage, communicating with referring physicians, scheduling visits and pre-visit diagnostic tests, communicating expectations to patients, communicating with disease-site teams, and providing insurance and financial clearance for new and return visits.Starting hourly rate is $24.39 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.Qualifications:Required Education and Experience
1. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in patient registration, patient scheduling or insurance verification; or
2. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma, the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in patient registration, patient scheduling or insurance verification within the Patient Access Department at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a pediatric setting and possess a strong understanding of insurance authorization and verification processes. They should demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, along with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
