PHP Backend Engineer
will play a
key role
in this journey:
evolving
the platforms through which we present our services to the world.

You'll be at the
heart of our product and tech organisation
, helping us make
technical decisions
that directly improve how we meet customer needs,
unblock other teams
, and
scale innovation without compromising stability
.

What you will do

• Work across the stack
  , building and evolving our core channels and supporting applications.
• Develop features and improvements
  in a clean, testable and performant way using
  PHP (Symfony)
  ,
  JavaScript
  (Web Components, React).
• Contribute to the migration
  of our legacy architecture towards a more
  modern, component-based, and potentially headless
  approach.
• Improve the way we manage third-party marketing tooling
  (e.g.,
  GTM, analytics, experiments
  ) and support the
  shift towards server-side handling
  where relevant.
• Monitor and enhance performance
  and reliability across our customer channels.
• Collaborate daily
  with other engineers, product managers, designers and analysts to deliver measurable impact.
• Participate in technical decisions
  and help shape the evolution of our stack and internal standards.
• Support
  CI/CD practices
  and contribute to a
  culture of testing and quality engineering.

About You

• You have
  6+ years of experience
  building production-ready web applications.
• Proficient in
  PHP
  (Symfony is a plus), and relational databases like
  MySQL.
• You're comfortable working
  backend
  but have a strong interest in
  web platform performance
  and
  architecture.
• Experience or interest in
  modernizing PHP stacks.
• You are interested on how
  marketing tools
  (GTM, marketing platforms, cookies) work, and you're excited about shifting the right logic to the
  server side.
• You care about
  performance
  ,
  clean code
  , and
  user experience
  … and you enjoy discussing trade-offs.
• You thrive in
  cross-functional teams
  and are happy to
