Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Event Marketing Specialist to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of our tradeshows, face-to-face events, and webinars. In addition to managing these key marketing initiatives, the Event Marketing Manager will also serve as an internal event consultant, guiding teams on best practices and innovative approaches to maximize event impact. The primary objective of this role is to drive both demand creation and demand capture, supporting the HP Large Format organization's brand awareness, growth and revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Tradeshow Management: Oversee end-to-end execution of tradeshows, including both strategy and execution. The job scope includes budget ownership; dealing with vendors; setting and collaborating with a cross functional team across HP; brand presence; booth creative, messaging and execution; marcom content and campaign activation; logistics; staffing; lead management, and post-event follow-up to ensure strong brand presence, high-quality lead generation and ROI.
• Webinar Program Management: Develop and execute a robust webinar calendar, working with subject matter experts to deliver compelling content that attracts, educates, and converts prospects. Project management, collaborating in a cross functional team; working with external vendors; marketing communication plan, content assets creation and central campaign activation; technical set up and hosting of webinar
• Event Consulting: Act as an internal consultant to business units, providing guidance on event strategy, audience targeting, messaging, and measurement to maximize ROI and achieve business objectives.
• Demand Creation & Capture: Partner with sales and marketing teams to design event experiences that fuel new interest (demand creation) and efficiently convert existing interest into opportunities (demand capture).
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product marketing, sales, digital marketing, and executive leadership to align event strategies with broader marketing and business goals.
• Measurement & Reporting: Establish KPIs, track event performance, analyze attendee engagement, and report results and insights to stakeholders for continuous improvement.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, negotiate with vendors, and ensure cost-effective execution without compromising quality.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• years of experience in event marketing, tradeshow management, or a related role.
• Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, both in-person and virtual.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using marketing automation platforms and CRM systems a plus.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and optimize event strategies for demand creation and capture.
Success Metrics
• Number of qualified leads generated from events and webinars.
• Attendee engagement and satisfaction scores.
• Event-driven pipeline and revenue contribution.
• ROI and cost-effectiveness of event programs.
Complexity
• Responds to moderately complex issues within established guidelines.
