The Security Manager is responsible for defining and leading a security strategy that not only protects people, assets, facilities, and operations, but also enables business growth and operational efficiency for InPost in Spain and Portugal. This role oversees the security team (specialists and external personnel), manages the department's budget, ensures compliance with legal and corporate requirements, and implements security solutions that support business objectives. Acting as a strategic advisor to senior management, the position liaises with governmental authorities and drives continuous improvement and resilience initiatives across the network to maintain business continuity.

What responsibilities and objectives will you have?

Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning: Design and execute the security strategy for Iberia aligned with InPost Group objectives.
  • Team leadership: Manage and develop the security team (specialists and external staff), fostering operational excellence and professional growth.
  • Budget management: Prepare and control the annual security budget, optimizing costs without compromising protection.
  • Governance and compliance: Ensure adherence to national, EU, and corporate regulations on private security, data protection, and international standards (TAPA, ISO, etc.). Design and implement security policies, standards, and projects across the InPost network in Spain and Portugal.
  • Risk management: Lead risk identification, assessment, and mitigation for facilities, processes, and transportation, including contingency and business continuity plans.
  • Institutional relations: Act as the main liaison with law enforcement, judicial authorities, and regulatory bodies; coordinate investigations and official requests.
  • Projects and technology: Oversee implementation and evolution of electronic security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms), ensuring interoperability and scalability.
  • Audits and reporting: Define strategic KPIs, lead internal and external audits, and present executive reports to regional and group leadership.
  • Critical incident management:Coordinate response to major incidents, lead investigations, and ensure timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Operations, Transportation, Quality, IT, Loss Prevention, and Facility Management to ensure security across the value chain.
  • Guarding operations leadership:Ensure continuous service delivery and performance control of security guards and auxiliary personnel across Spain and Portugal, including leadership of on‑site teams and verification that duties are executed correctly.
  • Provider management: Act as the primary interface with contracted security providers; define role descriptions; coordinate service levels and escalation paths; and drive continuous improvement.
  • Workforce planning: Own rosters, hours, substitutions, and team allocations to guarantee coverage and cost efficiency.
  • Security systems lifecycle: Draft and manage tenders for new openings; oversee design, integration, commissioning, and handover of electronic security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion/alarm, intercoms), ensuring interoperability and uptime across all sites.
  • Physical security of facilities:Support warehouses and operational hubs so that procedures, barriers, locks/keys, and dock/yard protections meet minimum security standardsand properly support operations and transport providers.
  • Incident management: Lead incident intake, triage, analysis, and corrective actions; coordinate root‑cause investigations and lessons learned.
  • 24/7 point of contact: Serve as round‑the‑clock security PoC for all sites, ensuring timely coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Systems administration: Administer access control, intrusion/alarm, and CCTV platforms across all sites, including permissions, audits, and periodic health checks.
  • Security audits: Plan and execute security auditsacross sites to verify compliance with InPost minimum security standards; track gaps and remediation plans.
  • Basic networking: Apply foundational IP networkingknowledge to ensure reliable connectivity between sites and security devices.

  • Ensure adherence to InPost security standards across Spain and Portugal.
  • Deliver high availability and effectiveness of guarding and electronic security systems.
  • Achieve departmental KPIs related to incident reduction, audit compliance, and service quality.

  • Strategic leadership and management of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills at national and international levels.
  • Advanced knowledge of electronic security systems and networking.
  • Analytical ability for risk management and critical decision-making.
  • Effective communication in corporate environments (Spanish and English).
  • Proven hands‑on experience (minimum 4 years) in implementation and administration of CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems.
  • Working knowledge of basic IP networking to support system connectivity between sites.
  • Incident analysis, report writing, and stakeholder communication at corporate level (English and Spanish).
  • Excel for basic data analysis; Power BI or similar for data visualization.
  • Ability to coordinate with cross‑functional teams and lead field personnel (guards and auxiliaries).
