Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Madrid for a Financial Controller / FP&A professional. The responsibilities include overseeing financial reporting, preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing accounting functions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The individual will also perform financial planning and analysis, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and provide insights to guide strategic decision-making. Collaborating closely with management and multi-geography teams, the role requires precision and a focus on delivering accurate financial information.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Financial Statements, Financial Reporting, and Accounting
- Proficiency in Finance and Analytical Skills to support business decision-making
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Proven experience with financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent qualification is a plus
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems)
- Knowledge of European energy markets or renewable energy industry is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within cross-functional and multi-geography teams
- Fluent English is required.
- Prior experience in energy, infrastructure or renewables — and particularly biomethane — will be considered a plus.
