At the Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy Systems IWES, the energy transition becomes a reality every day. At present, our team consists of four employees and several students. Our core activity is the development of innovative and customized methods for simulating and validating drive trains and drive train components of wind turbines. Recently, we were opening a new research area on the wind propulsion systems for sustainable maritime mobility. You are wondering what you can bring to the team?You will support us in testing and validating a newly developed software solution for calculating the performance of ships with wind propulsion systems. This includes executing functional and non-functional tests, documenting results, and identifying potential issues. In addition, you will assist in creating test plans and test cases. Based on your findings, the software will be improved in close coordination with the development team. Your insights will be an important part of this process. Sounds like a lot?
