DCS Senior Sales Specialist

Base:France & Spain

Major Responsibilities

  • Own and drive revene achievement and growth across the assigned region for single-cell, spatial biology and multi-omics solutions, including instruments, consumables.
  • Develop and execute sales plans, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and market conditions.
  • Identify, qualify, and manage new business opportunities in academic research institutions, core facilities and relevant targeted customer segment.
  • Lead complex sales cycles, from opportunity identification through negotiation and successful close.
  • Provide consultative sales support by deeply understanding customer workflows in single-cell, multi-omics, and spatial applications.
  • Collaborate closely with Field Application Scientists, product management, marketing, and operations to ensure customer success and long-term account retention.
  • Participate in conferences, trade shows, and customer workshops to promote product portfolio awareness and strengthen brand presence.
  • Deep understanding of territory management, account strategy and technical/product positioning.
  • Proactively gather customer feedback and market intelligence to support product development and competitive strategy.
  • Forecast revenue, manage pipeline health, and deliver accurate reporting to leadership. Maintain accurate records of opportunities, forecasts, and customer interactions in CRM systems.
  • Build long-term customer relationships through routine visits, pipeline management, and post-sales support coordination.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (Molecular Biology, Genomics, Biotechnology, or related field); advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of life science sales experience, with at least 2–3 years selling NGS, single-cell, spatial, or multi-omics products.
  • Demonstrated success managing accounts and closing high-value deals.
  • Strong technical understanding of sequencing workflows, including single-cell, spatial transcriptomics, library prep, and data-analysis considerations.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize high-impact opportunities, and manage a complex sales cycle.
  • Willingness to travel 50% as required.
  • Working language is English, additional language is benefical.
  • Location: France and Spain are preferred; however, strong candidates from other locations will also be considered.

Preferred / Good to Have

  • Hands-on research or industry experience in single-cell sequencing, spatial biology, or advanced NGS applications.
  • Experience selling capital equipment into genomics, immunology, oncology, or neuroscience markets.
  • Familiarity with relevant platforms (e.g., 10x Genomics, CosMx/GeoMx, MERFISH, etc.).
