About the role:
The SHE Technician perform the operations involved in the SHE department in Gene Therapy in order to achieve the objectives of the organization ensuring proper compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices to achieve strategic objectives, promote the growth of people and facilitate communication and cooperation with other departments of the organization, in order to support customers from development to commercial manufacture of gene therapy drugs to obtain the best quality product at the right time and scale.
Key Tasks:
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Management
Assist in implementing and managing HSE policies, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
- Stay updated on biotechnology regulations and standards.
- Conduct occupational risk assessments and plan training and hygiene measures.
- Identify and assess risks in biotechnological processes, proposing mitigation strategies.
- Perform ergonomic assessments and recommend adjustments to prevent injuries.
- Plan and execute emergency response programs, including drills and evacuation plans.
Manage documentation for Business Activity Coordination (CAE).
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Training & Incident Management
Develop and deliver safety training programs on safe practices, chemical handling, and equipment use.
Lead investigations into incidents and accidents, preparing reports and corrective actions.Environmental & Waste Management
Oversee waste management and ensure safe disposal of chemicals and biological materials.
Coordinate environmental monitoring and propose measures to improve environmental performance.
Collaborate with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with legal requirements.Administrative & Medical Oversight
Manage medical examinations for employees.
- Handle administrative documentation related to the Prevention Service and Mutual Insurance for occupational risks.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or technical degree in Occupational Health, Industrial Safety, Environmental Sciences, or similar.
- Master's in Prevention Risks or similar.
- Previous experience in similar roles in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience of at least 2 years in occupational risk prevention.
- Knowledge of NCF/GMP is valuable.
