This is a full-time hybrid position based in Barcelona.

As a pivotal Android SDK Developer, you'll be instrumental in transforming our foundational SDK prototype into a robust, market-ready product. This new SDK is strategically vital, designed to expand the functionality and provide critical insights into the supply chain of our pre-established and robust DSP.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be the main developer for the Android SDK, supported by a collaborative team as they shift to backend focus. You'll own the development of the Android SDK, focusing on completing core functionalities, architecting for optimal performance, and building out essential features. Initially, a part of your work will involve migrating the existing Java prototype to Kotlin, while ensuring seamless compatibility with all target Android releases. Your work will directly define the future and quality of our mobile ecosystem, working in close alignment with our iOS SDK development to ensure a unified product experience.

The Opportunity:

• Lead the architectural design and full-lifecycle development of our new Android Ads SDK.
• Proactively drive performance optimization, quality enhancements, and robust testing for the SDK.
• Stay at the forefront of Android advancements, integrating latest platform capabilities and industry best practices.
• Ensure seamless integration of the SDK with the broader Smadex platform through close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Champion code quality, actively participating in rigorous code reviews, comprehensive testing, and effective debugging processes.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience, with a solid foundation in building robust mobile solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with practical experience in or a strong desire to work on Java-to-Kotlin code migration.
• Good understanding of multithreading, networking, and Android internals.
• Familiarity with performance optimization, debugging, and mobile development best practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn and contribute to team knowledge.
• A genuine passion for mobile technology, staying updated with the latest advancements, and contributing to the Android ecosystem.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with mobile advertising technologies such as MRAID and VAST.
• Knowledge of building and distributing Android libraries or SDKs.
• Familiarity with Unity plugins for Android.
