Technical Business Analyst – Market Data Applications

What you will do:

• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and non- functional requirements for the Market Data System
• Create and maintain functional/technical documentation, data flow diagrams, runbooks, and change logs
• Lead and support internal/external audit initiatives: prepare evidence, explain system behavior, and document controls
• Collaborate with Market Data Engineering, Application Support, Group IT, and Business Units to coordinate changes across environments
• Drive remediation of data quality issues with root-cause analysis and follow-up actions
• Support onboarding and enhancements for end-of-day and reference data feeds (price curves, reference data, delivery rules)

What you bring & who you are:

• 3+ years as a Business or Systems Analyst in IT, market data, data platforms, or financial/energy tech
• Strong grasp of end-of-day/reference data workflows and licensing
• Hands-on experience for data analysis with Excel (SQL is a plus); experience with Confluence, Jira, and BPMN/flowcharts
• Familiarity with control environments and audit preparation (ICS-like), including evidence management; Ideally Power BI or other BI tools; basic Python
• Experience with data catalogs/lineage and observability/logging (e.g., EBX, Splunk/Elastic, Grafana), cloud data platforms (Azure/AWS), and scheduling (Airflow)
• Domain knowledge in energy/commodities (power, gas, carbon) or financial instruments is a big plus
• You love to interact with different people across the company and bring analytical rigor, structured problem-solving, clear communication, and a delivery mindset
