Job Summary
One of our prominent clients is looking for an

Offshore Survey Manager

—the Company authority during vessel mobilization and acquisition phases.

In this role you will oversee day-to-day operations of offshore marine survey projects, ensuring successful execution of survey activities with high safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and validate geophysics methodologies, ensuring they align with marine survey industry best practices.

Present cost-efficient geotechnical techniques to meet contract requirements within budget.

Plan, coordinate, and supervise vessel operations to ensure project delivery per specifications.

Act as Party Chief and represent the Company on the vessel.

Lead mobilisation, demobilisation, and management of survey vessels and equipment.

Manage the offshore survey team, fostering continuous improvement and professional development.

Coordinate with client representatives and stakeholders, providing regular updates.

Develop survey plans, adhere to schedules and budgets.

Conduct briefing and debriefing sessions with clear communication of objectives, safety and operational plans.

Set up, calibrate, and operate survey equipment, ensuring data accuracy and quality control.

Process data, conduct preliminary analysis, and compile detailed reports on findings and milestones.

Collaborate with the Asset & Logistics Manager onshore for equipment maintenance and readiness.

Promote and enforce a safety culture, delivering training as required.

Investigate incidents and implement preventive action.

Maintain comprehensive records of operations, equipment usage and personnel activities.

Adapt to changing circumstances, taking decisions in uncertain environments.

Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the manager.

Candidate Profile

Master's degree (or equivalent) in geoscience.

10 years of offshore experience, including Party Chief roles for hydrographic campaigns.

Proficient with MS Office, QGIS, Qinsy, EIVA Navisuite; knowledge of gINT and Kingdom is a plus.

Technical knowledge of MBES, SSS, SBP, MAG, UHRS surveys (acquisition + processing); geotechnical equipment knowledge is a plus.

Strong decision-making skills in uncertain environments.

Excellent cross-functional teamwork and communication skills.

Problem-solving mindset.

Influential and QHSE focused.

Fluent English (100 %; Spanish desired; French a plus).

Willing to act as Party Chief and be dispatched offshore during high season.

Good work ethic, communication and attitude.
