JOB DESCRIPTION

The selected candidate will join the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) to work on the T1D WATCH project, focused on population-based screening for type 1 diabetes (T1D) in children within primary care settings.

The position is oriented towards study coordination, data management and analysis, and implementation evaluation of the screening programme from a public health perspective; background or experience in immunology of autoimmune diseases will be positively valued.

The appointment is subject to the granting of the PFIS fellowship within the framework of the 2026 Strategic Action in Health (Instituto de Salud Carlos III), which will be published on the ISCIII website in February 2026.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
  • Official Master's degree (or equivalent) in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Sciences, Biomedicine, or related fields.  
  • Proven knowledge in the design, monitoring, or evaluation of population screening studies or preventive health programmes.  
  • Experience in data management and analysis (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS, or similar tools).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, planning, and project-organisation skills.  
  • High level of spoken and written Spanish and English; Catalan will be considered an asset.  
  • Training or experience in immunology, particularly in autoimmune diseases or T1D-related biomarkers, will be highly valued.

  • Gross annual remuneration inherent to the square objected to this call, will be fixed based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments.

  • Coordinate the implementation of the screening programme in primary care centres (visit scheduling, liaison with clinical teams and referral pathways).
  • Manage, clean, and integrate study databases (clinical, epidemiological, immunological, and health outcome variables).
  • Contribute to quantitative and qualitative analyses of the screening (coverage, acceptability, cost-effectiveness, and public health impact indicators).
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, scientific manuscripts, conference communications, and dissemination materials for families, and professionals.
  • Ensure effective coordination between immunology, paediatrics, and primary care teams, contributing to the interpretation of results from a public health viewpoint.
