Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Engineer
with strong
MEP construction experience
to support a major large-scale construction project in Spain. The role will be site-based and will involve overseeing electrical installation, coordination with MEP disciplines, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with project specifications and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage
    electrical installation works
    across a large-scale construction project
  • Coordinate electrical scope with
    mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire systems
    as part of the wider MEP package
  • Review and interpret
    electrical drawings, specifications, and schematics
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure quality and programme adherence
  • Support
    installation, testing, commissioning, and handover
    of electrical systems
  • Ensure all works comply with
    Spanish regulations, European standards, and project HSE requirements
  • Attend site meetings and provide regular progress and technical reports
  • Interface with project management, QA/QC, HSE, and client representatives

Electrical Systems Scope

  • LV & MV power distribution
  • Transformers, switchgear, panels, and containment
  • Earthing and lightning protection systems
  • Lighting and emergency lighting
  • Cable routing, tray, ladder, and conduit systems
  • Interface with BMS, fire alarm, and life-safety systems

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in
    Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience on
    large-scale construction projects
    (industrial, infrastructure, or complex buildings)
  • Strong background in
    MEP coordination and site-based delivery
  • Experience working with EPCs, main contractors, or major subcontractors
  • Knowledge of
    Spanish electrical regulations
    and EU standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary construction environment

Desirable

  • Previous experience on complex or high-value construction projects
  • Commissioning or testing experience
  • Spanish speaking (Fluent)
