About The Job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, the Waiter/Waitress is responsible for performing all operational tasks and duties within the outlet under the guidance of managers and supervisors. The role's primary objective is to serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring every guest experiences exceptional service and leaves delighted.

As Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Have a thorough understanding of the outlet's concept and food & beverage offerings and be able to clearly communicate them to guests.
• Prepare mise en place for each shift and maintain cleanliness and organization throughout service, including polishing and assembling equipment.
• Deliver attentive, efficient, and personalized service by understanding and anticipating guest requirements.
• Properly present all dishes and beverages in line with hotel and outlet standards, and up-sell services and products to enhance guest experience and revenue.
• Assist with stock handling, including linen, beverages, and other supplies, ensuring proper storage and organization.
• Maintain outlet equipment and utensils in excellent condition through careful day-to-day handling and completion of side duties as assigned.
• Communicate guest preferences, allergies, or special requests to management and kitchen colleagues, and keep product knowledge up to date.

As Waiter/Waitress, we expect you:

Experience and education

• Hold a degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Have 1–2 years' experience in a similar role (preferred).
• Experience in luxury hospitality is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of luxury hospitality standards and ability to deliver service at the highest level.
• Excellent communication skills, able to interact seamlessly with guests, colleagues, and supervisors.
• Attentive to guest needs, with the ability to anticipate expectations and create memorable experiences.
• Team-oriented mindset, cooperating and supporting colleagues to maintain smooth operations.
• Awareness of health, safety, and hygiene standards in all service areas.
• Familiarity with POS systems and standard service procedures is an advantage.
