We´re expanding our team at Alén Space, and are looking for a Space Mechanical Systems Engineer;
with passion in what you do*
, talented and experienced; to participate in key activities such as detailed design of satellite mechanical subsystems, development of optimized structures for launch and space environments, component integration, and the creation of 3D models and assemblies. Additionally, they will collaborate in design validation through finite element analysis and physical testing, ensuring compliance with technical and mission requirements.

*What you will be doing?*

  • Modeling, simulating, and analyzing satellite components and structures.
  • Detailed design of satellite mechanical subsystems ensuring compliance with mission requirements.
  • Developing optimized structures to withstand the conditions of launch and the space environment.
  • Creating 3D models and assemblies of satellite components.
  • Integrating satellite components, ensuring compatibility between different subsystems.
  • Validating design through finite element simulations.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to optimize the structural and thermal performance of the satellite.
  • Ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory mission requirements.

*What do we need in our team*

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of prior experience in the mechanical and structural design of satellites or the aerospace industry (preferably in small satellite projects).
  • Knowledge and proficiency in advanced modeling and simulation tools such as SOLIDWORKS.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

Valuable knowledge:

  • Hands-on experience with nanosatellite missions, including assembly, integration, testing, and operations.
  • Familiarity with space standards and regulations (ECSS, NASA, etc.).
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with other engineers.
