Chief Engineer

We are seeking an experienced
Chief Engineer
or a
Master with strong DP Construction vessel experience
to join our client's operational hub in
Cadiz, Spain
. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a technically strong marine professional to take a leading role in the
conversion and operational management
of DP construction vessels while helping to develop a
local supply chain
for spare parts and services.

Travel:

• Monthly international travel to vessel locations

Requirements:

• Chief Engineer / Master background with solid experience on
  DP construction vessels
• Ability to assess technical issues and clearly explain them to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong understanding of
  vessel conversions
  and
  offshore construction operations
• Existing professional network in the
  Cadiz region
  is a strong advantage
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic, international environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the
  technical performance
  of vessels under charter, including those undergoing conversion for Offshore Wind construction
• Act as the
  technical interface
  between the client and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and accurate communication
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on
  DP vessels
  (e.g., power loss events), providing guidance on root causes and solutions
• Build and manage a
  local supply chain
  for spare parts and services in Cadiz
• Provide technical guidance on vessel capabilities and limitations, including: DP systems, Cranes, Helidecks, Walk-to-Work (W2W) systems, ROVs, Diving systems, Gangways, Compressor units, Other Offshore Wind–related equipment
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and operations teams to ensure all vessel equipment operates to required standards
