We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our Tech team. You will be responsible for the server-side of our web applications. IIf you have excellent programming skills with a passion for developing applications or improving existing ones, we would like to meet you.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging to improve product advancement.
  • Review product proposals.
  • Review IODs and look for potential problems and solutions.
  • Design technical solutions for the back-end side of projects.
  • Write tickets detailing the solution to implement.
  • Solve doubts and answer questions about the back-end of the website. Give support to all employees, from tech and other departments.
  • Develop the back-end of the website.
  • Clean code, good patterns, unit tests, optimisation.

You are excellent at:

  • Understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment).
  • Linux and Git proficiency.
  • The Python programming language.
  • Django web framework.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, like REST, SOAP, etc.
  • Knowledge of Stripe.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud.
  • Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Writing and speaking in English.

Extra awesome:

  • Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript and CSS).
  • Familiarity with the Flask framework.
  • Familiarity with Swagger / OpenAPI.
  • Working knowledge of Celery or other tools for running background tasks.
  • Experience working with OpenSearch (aka Elasticsearch).
  • Experience working with Django Rest Framework.
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL, or a similar relational database, including direct SQL access.
  • Desirable work experience on booking platforms.
  • Pragmatic approach to solve problems.
