DevOps Engineer

Madrid | Working from home up to 40% | Reference 7591

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong software development skills and a hands-on approach to deployment and operations. In this role, you will take full responsibility for both building and running backend services, primarily using Java, Spring Boot, OpenShift, and RHEL. You'll be embedded in a collaborative, cross-functional team, working end-to-end across the software delivery lifecycle.

This position is ideal for someone with a developer's mindset who is passionate about automation, scalability, and full ownership of the solutions they create. Experience in the financial industry is a plus, but not a requirement.

What You Will Do
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
  • Deploy, monitor, and operate your services on OpenShift and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and related automation
  • Ensure applications are secure, reliable, and scalable in production environments
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline delivery
  • Troubleshoot issues across the application stack and production infrastructure
What You Bring
  • Proven experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications on OpenShift and RHEL
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, scripting in Bash or Python) with at least 5 years of proven experience
  • Ability to take full ownership of services from development to deployment and support
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
  • A plus would be familiarity with Angular or broader full‑stack development, as well as exposure to Kubernetes, Helm, or infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Ansible or Terraform
  • Experience in the financial sector or regulated environments is also highly valued
