The AEO Coordinator at Noatum Ports Spain plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of terminal activities, maintaining strict compliance with Spanish customs legislation, AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) requirements, and ISPS Code (International Ship and Port Facility Security Code) obligations

Key Responsabilities

  • Serve as the corporate focal point for AEO certification and ongoing compliance.
  • Coordinate audits, renewals, and self-assessments with customs authorities.
  • Develop, maintain, and standardize customs compliance procedures across five terminals.
  • Oversee ISPS Code compliance, ensuring Port Facility Security Plans are up-to-date and implemented.
  • Lead risk assessments related to trade compliance and security, proposing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage internal and external inspections by customs, port authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Promote transparency, integrity, and traceability in customs and security operations.
  • Harmonize customs and commercial documentation processes for efficiency and consistency.
  • Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to optimize import/export workflows.
  • Monitor operations to ensure compliance with customs controls.
  • Support the implementation of digital customs management tools and data reporting systems.
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards for compliance performance and process efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Law or qualification as a Customs Agent or Customs Representative
  • 5 years of experience in customs compliance, trade regulation, or port/maritime security management
  • Spanish customs legislation and AEO requirements (Expert)
  • Ideally within the ports and terminals sector or in a similar operational environment.
  • English (Mandatory – C1 level) and Spanish (Mandatory – C1 level)

Technical Requirements

  • ISO Supply Chain Security Management) (Intermediate)
  • Digital platforms for compliance tracking (Advanced)
  • Web AEAT management skills.
  • ISPS Code and port/maritime security management (Advanced)
  • Customs documentation and bonded warehouse operations (Advanced)
  • Risk assessment and internal audit processes (Advanced)
