Job Description:

Job Title: IT Intern
Reports to: IT Manager/Infrastructure Team Lead
Location: Barcelona
Job Type: Internship (part-time or full-time)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Engineer Intern to join our IT team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, gain hands-on experience with various technologies, and contribute to the development of our IT systems infrastructure. This is a great chance to learn from experienced professionals, build your skills, and launch your career in the field of IT.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with IT Systems Administration:

  • Help with daily tasks such as, equipment build/assignment/manage/decommission, Tier 1 troubleshooting issues.
  • Assist with server and network administration, including patching, updates, and backups.
  • Meeting room revision and correction

Contribute to Project Work:

  • Participate in IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, or new implementations.
  • Assist with project planning, execution, and documentation.

Learn and Develop New Skills:

  • Receive training and mentorship from experienced IT professionals.
  • Learn about various technologies, including Windows and Linux operating systems, network protocols, and cloud-based services.

Collaborate with the Team:

  • Work closely with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration of IT systems.
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, including end-users and management.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field (e.g., Formación Profesional).

Technical Skills:

  • Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and operating systems.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Bash.

Experience:

  • No prior experience required, but previous internships or relevant coursework are a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to Have:

Certifications:

  • CompTIA A+ or similar certification.

Experience with:

  • Cloud-based services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
