Requirements:
- Basic experience or strong academic background in backend development, ideally with exposure to data-engineering applications and scalable architecture.
- SQL fundamentals: Knowledge of database design and ability to write and optimize queries for performance.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB) and interest in learning hybrid SQL/NoSQL solutions.
- AWS exposure: Understanding of core AWS services (ECS, RDS, Lambda, EC2, CloudWatch, IAM) and willingness to learn data-related services like Glue, Athena, and CloudFormation.
- Interest in data pipeline development and ETL processes, with some experience or academic projects in batch job scheduling.
- Basic knowledge of RESTful API development.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative code management tools.
Nice to have:
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (AWS Developer Tools, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation tasks.
- Awareness of monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana).
- Understanding of performance and scalability concepts for backend services.
