Job Description Summary
This role will be based in Barcelona, bringing product craft closer to R&D while helping bridge collaboration with teams across the US, India, and Nice.
The Product Manager role sit within the Distribution & Reservation Core (DRC) organization — which is shaping the fast-evolving landscape of Central Reservation Systems (CRS). While the primary focus will be on iHotelier, the long-term vision includes supporting ACRS initiatives and convergence planning as we move toward a unified CRS strategy.
As Product Manager, you will support and lead cross-functional teams responsible for delivering and evolving the Amadeus Central Reservation System (CRS) platform.
As Product Manager, you should anticipate and understand the needs of our target market and customers, anticipate changing demands, and shape business, product and investment strategies. A critical element is the development and continued maintenance of strong relationships with a variety of different organizations including commercial teams, operational teams, and R&D.
In this role you will:
Product Strategy & Roadmap Planning
- Support in the creation of the CRS product vision & strategy.
- Execute the product strategy within requirements to ensure fulfillment of short, mid and long-term business objectives.
- Engage with stakeholders from across the organization and target customer base to develop requirements that deliver continuous business impact and value.
- Interface with key stakeholders (Operations, R&D, etc.) and maintain the pulse of the changing customer and industry demands and influence overall commercial strategy for new product enhancements and capabilities.
- Support customer research and leverage insights to create product features, customer adoption & satisfaction.
Product Development
- Take responsibility for the creation and completeness of business requirements for product development and drives adherence of the requirements through the product development process ensuring delivery in line with client and market commitments.
- Understands the balance of business needs with technology assessments, and recommends alternative technical approaches to meet design requirements when needed.
- Operates with the priorities given to products, projects and developments and secures deliveries to meet business targets.
- Partners with engineering to drive technical projects and provide leadership in the development process, setting scope, and ensuring effective prioritization of features & stories, managing daily progress, and defining acceptance criteria.
- Communicates the product vision to ensure product delivery is aligned with strategy.
Go To Market Enablement
Lead cross-functional teams to drive value of delivered product capabilities including:
- Effective communication of new products/product changes and their associated customer, operational, system, & process impacts.
- Supporting organization wide product training and enablement, contributing to the articulation of product value propositions, go to market strategy, pricing and impact to messaging for delivering products/services.
- Please note business travel may be required for this role.
About the ideal candidate:
- 2-3 years in Product Management or related roles, ideally in a B2B or technology-driven environment.
- Experience working with agile development teams and managing multiple priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA is a plus).
- Strong understanding of market research, product lifecycle management, and go-to-market planning.
