The Agile Innovation Officer will support the delivery and continuous improvement of EIT Urban Mobility's Agile Innovation programmes, with a particular focus on Rapid Applications for Transport (RAPTOR) and SME Market Expansion calls.
The role covers the full programme lifecycle, from call preparation, scouting and evaluation to project deployment, monitoring, and reporting, while also contributing proactively to the evolution and positioning of the programmes.
The successful candidate will work closely with cities, start-ups, SMEs, corporates, and internal teams, ensuring high-quality execution and tangible impact across the European urban mobility ecosystem.
This may include the following tasks:
- Support the full lifecycle of Agile Innovation calls (e.g. RAPTOR, SME Market Expansion).
- Work with cities to define, refine, and structure innovation challenges aligned with programme objectives.
- Coordinate evaluation processes, including the organisation of expert panels and assessment workflows.
- Manage and monitor a portfolio of Agile Innovation projects (6–7 months), ensuring progress against agreed milestones, deliverables, and impact objectives.
- Support SMEs, start-ups, cities, and corporates throughout the project development phase, fostering effective collaboration and agile ways of working.
- Collaborate closely with cities, SMEs/start-ups, and corporates participating in Agile Innovation programmes.
- Organise and facilitate meetings, workshops, and coordination sessions with external and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Innovation, Finance, Legal, Communication) to ensure smooth and compliant programme implementation.
- Oversee technical and financial reporting in line with EIT Urban Mobility requirements and timelines.
- Track project outcomes and support the identification of high-potential SMEs and start-ups for follow-on opportunities within the EIT Urban Mobility ecosystem.
- Promote innovative and agile ways of working within public administrations and support knowledge sharing across programmes.
- Contribute to building a strong and differentiated value proposition for cities, startups and SMEs within the EIT Urban Mobility network.
- Proactively contribute ideas to improve, scale, and strengthen Agile Innovation programmes.
- Identify opportunities to enhance programme design, processes, and stakeholder engagement.
- Support the Agile Innovation Manager in evolving the programmes to remain relevant, impactful, and aligned with EIT Urban Mobility and Innovation Team strategy.

Must-have:
- At least 3 years of experience in project or programme management within the mobility, technology, or innovation sectors.
- Completed Master's Degree related to Technology, Innovation, Engineering, Mobility & Transport, Business Management (or similar).
- Written and spoken English (C1) and at least one additional European language is an advantage.
- Only qualifications issued by an EU Member State authorities and qualifications recognised as equivalent by the relevant EU Member State authorities will be accepted.
- Experience working on innovation programmes in an international or European context.
- Hands-on experience with agile innovation methodologies and collaboration with SMEs and start-ups.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to manage timelines, budgets, and reporting requirements.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and autonomously.
- Motivation to operate in fast-paced, innovative, and sometimes ambiguous environments.
- Experience working in multinational and multicultural settings; a European perspective is considered an asset.
- Comfort working in matrix organisations and collaborating across different organisational levels.
- A structured, organised, and proactive working style with a practical, hands-on approach.
Nice-to-have:
- Direct experience delivering innovation programmes involving cities, corporates, SMEs, and start-ups.
- Demonstrated ability to execute defined strategies and deliver results within agreed timelines.
- Experience monitoring and reporting on project development, pilot testing, and go-to-market activities.
- Knowledge of mobility domains such as electrification and alternative fuels, urban logistics, mobility data management, public transport, or active mobility.
- A strong track record in building, maintaining, and managing effective stakeholder relationships.

Kindly note that this is a permanent and full-time position, and it is based in Barcelona.
Possibility to work from home 2 days a week.
