IENAI SPACE is an early-stage startup located in Madrid, developing an end-to-end ecosystem of in-space mobility products, including propulsion systems and engineering SaaS. We are a highly innovative company in the "New Space" sector; the team is made up of a dynamic and multidisciplinary group of engineers, PhDs and developers, looking to revolutionize space mobility for the adoption of propulsion products in the smallest of satellites. How will you contribute to IENAI SPACE?

As an
Electronics Laboratory Technician
, you will take full ownership of the daily operation, maintenance and technical performance of our electronics laboratory. You will support our engineering and hardware validation teams by ensuring that prototypes, assemblies and test setups are built with precision, reliability and speed.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • High-precision SMD soldering of components such as 0402, 0603, QFN, LGA and similar, working under a microscope.
  • Rework and repair of PCBs using hot-air/reflow stations.
  • Assembly of custom cables and harnesses, including crimping, soldering, labelling and verification.
  • Support to the engineering team in the preparation of prototypes, hardware validation, execution of tests and assembly of test setups.
  • Maintenance, organization and inventory control of electronic and electromechanical components (EEE).
  • Verification and classification of incoming materials to ensure compliance and readiness for use.
  • Basic operation and handling of laboratory instrumentation, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and measurement equipment.
  • Preparation of simple assembly reports or documentation on detected issues to support traceability and continuous improvement.

What is your department like?

You will be part of our
Electrical Engineering and Electronics team
, which is part of our Electric Propulsion department. This team is in charge of designing, testing, manufacturing and has the mission of continuous improvement of the electronic devices that enable thruster operation.

What will make you succeed?

We are looking for (must have):

  • FP in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or similar.
  • Proven experience in SMD soldering and rework.
  • Hands-on experience with soldering iron and hot-air stations.
  • Experience in cable and harness fabrication.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, datasheets and Bills of Materials (BOM).
  • Strong organization skills and rigorous inventory management.
  • Autonomy and the ability to collaborate closely with engineers.

We also value (nice to have):

  • Previous experience in R&D, hardware labs or industrial electronics environments.
  • Basic understanding of ESD protection and handling of sensitive components.
  • Technical English for reading documentation.
