Minecraft Blast - Senior Graphics and Tools Engineer
Be a part of our brand new game Minecraft Blast, working as a Graphics and Tools Engineer. Here, you as a developer have a great understanding of the graphics and rendering pipeline of Unity, and take a great interest in how to create tools in Unity. You have good analytical capabilities, you write well-structured code, are comfortable working with a complicated code-base and have a great sense of what is performant and scalable. You're proactive, able to work independently and happy to communicate with the rest of the tech organization.
YOUR ROLE WITHIN OUR KINGDOM
You will work in close collaboration with our Unity developers and our Tech artists to enjoy a creative, challenging and collaborative workplace where your ideas will be every bit as valued as your programming expertise.
You should be a fast-learner with a positive attitude and a strong passion for working with new technology. You are able to jump into any project to quickly adapt and resolve complex problems. You're excited about doing what's best for the games and adaptable enough to work on different things day to day based on their needs. You are passionate about the quality that you and the teams around you deliver, and you are keen on delivering, automating and improving the processes whenever you can.
Skills To Create Thrills
You have great passion for system development, new technologies, large scale systems and games in particular. You're an excellent communicator, happy dealing with people from different business units and with varying degrees of technical savvy. Therefore, you're able to translate business needs to technical requirements and implementation.
- Collaborate with Developers & Technical Artists to deliver cutting edge visuals
- Proven experience using the Unity Universal Render Pipeline and HLSL
- Be a key contributor to the evolution of our shared graphics practices for the studio and our games.
- Professional experience of runtime performance optimisation, ideally on mobile titles
- You are experienced at extending the Unity Editor
- Experience building plugins and shared libraries
- Proven software development using C# in large Unity projects
- Professional experience with Android or iOS development
- Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility, and ability to handle multiple tasks
- You feel motivated trying to make the day-to-day work of your teammates better
- Passion for quality and experience writing tests
BONUS POINTS
- Familiar with RenderDoc, Xcode Instruments, or Android GPU Inspector
- Experience implementing custom URP Renderer Features or post-processing passes
- Comfortable diagnosing device-specific rendering issues
