1.FUNCTIONAL CONTENT

Main Role

Responsible and leading the procurement activities with regards Suppliers/CMOs/CDMOs etc. for the assigned purchases of direct materials/services involved in ESTEVE final products (FDF) with the aim to guarantee its supply reliability based on the quality requested, internal policies and market regulations, with special focus to grant the continuous supply ability and increase the profitability in ESTEVE. Selection of Suppliers/CMOs to build and maintain a portfolio of suppliers always adapted to the current needs of ESTEVE. Manage the necessary actions with internal and external stakeholders to carry out these activities. The position holder is responsible for leading the Global Pharma Strategic Sourcing category of different suppliers to secure the FDF that ESTEVE sells to the market. Procurement accountability for APIs, Bulk, Packaging, FDFs, Analysis tests and product release, etc., taking care of, among other tasks and not limited to, searching and selecting alternative Suppliers (leading the tendering), following up the market situation, negotiation of prices and the rest of supply conditions as well as tenders, pricing and conditions from new transfers, in order to support the Global Supply Chain team to secure product supply reliability and optimized cost in accordance with the global Procurement Compliance, Quality and Regulatory targets and procedures on local and global level, aligned with the global EHS, Legal and Compliance requirements of ESTEVE.

Roles

• Responsible for market screening and CMO selection, leading the tendering process for the introduction of any new formulator CMO and API suppliers.
• Leading the negotiations of unit prices and conditions with the CMOs that produce Esteve's pharmaceutical products (for all the countries), Bulks and FDF.
• In charge of contract negotiation and contract coordination with the suppliers and internal stakeholders until its signature, and managing the contract lifecycle afterwards.
• In charge of the life cycle of the Supply Agreements.
• Building and keeping a strong business relationship with our suppliers of bulk and FDF.
• Work closely with Finance Planning & Analysis team (FP&A) for updating and keeping track of the COGs of the products, making sure that Commercial teams are well informed about it whenever there is a price change in any of Esteve's products as well with Regulatory Affairs and Quality to meet all requirements of the product and address any deviation.
• Follow up the global market of the different raw materials in order to anticipate potential price increase and identify potential price improvements.
• Collaborating with the different teams of the company with the annual budget elaboration as well as the 5 years strategic plan.
• Participating in global Cross Functional meetings for aligning priorities.
• Attending fairs related to the Pharmaceutical Business (CPhI, etc.) as well as commercial visits to current/new CMOs facilities (willing to travel 30-40% around Europe).
• Look proactively for new ways to reduce the COGs of Esteve's products, applying sourcing strategies, high level of negotiation procurement tools/levers and anticipate and promote strategies of risk mitigation to ensure the supply reliability of the FDF.
• Promoting the Quality and Procurement guidelines that apply (GMPs, Procurement SOPs, etc.), general functional procedures as well as the management systems of EHS, legal and Compliance. At the same time, making sure that the internal confidential information is handled properly.
• Participate along GSP (Supply Projects) in the assigned transfers projects to ensure the accomplishments of targets defined in tendering and RFQ.
• Collecting the information (know-how, technical, quality and regulatory requirements, etc.) of FDFs and APIs for the projects related to the pharma portfolio, either at commercial or development stage, in order to align correctly the CMC activities with the targets of Esteve's R&D projects.
• Collaborating with PMO and BD Management teams to align procurement activities with the ABC product of ESTEVE and active action to guarantee the success of Due Diligence and Products integration.
• Assuring the harmonization of the Pharma management systems and business-wise with the rest of the Esteve Group.
• Manage the annual SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) evaluation of the assigned supplier portfolio.

3. JOB PROFILE

Required Studies

• Bachelor degree (or superior training) in Life Science

Other Specialized Knowledge

• Commercial and/or Business Administration
• GMPs
• Regulatory Affairs
• SAP / Microsoft Office

Languages

• English (as per CEFR): C1/C2

Professional Experience

• Experience with GMPs and Regulatory Affairs environments
• Minimum of 6-10 years experience in Procurement and/or Commercial position negotiating FDF and bulk
• Minimum of 6-10 years experience in Multinational Pharmaceutical Industry in an international environment
• Experience working in a matrix system organization
