Job Title: Lead Front End Engineer - React

Location: Barcelona, Spain - Hybrid: 2-3 Days to Office Every Week

Duration: 6 Months - Extendable

Employment Type: Contract B2B

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • We are launching the GRM Editorial Interface, a new project focused on building a cutting-edge editorial interface for structured data. This initiative involves significant UI and backend development to create a robust and intuitive platform. We are seeking talented and experienced engineers to join our team and drive this project to success.
  • The Lead Frontend Engineer will be responsible for spearheading the user interface development for the project. This role involves leading the frontend architecture, mentoring team members, and ensuring the implementation of a high-quality, modern, and accessible user experience using React.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of the frontend application.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using the latest versions of React.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver a seamless user experience.
  • Establish and enforce frontend development best practices, including code style, component structure, and state management.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers on the team.
  • Take ownership of the entire frontend development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7+ years of professional frontend development experience, with a significant focus on React.
  • Expert knowledge of the latest version of ReactJS, including the use of hooks and new features in React 18.
  • Expert knowledge of HTML best practices, including semantic HTML and writing accessible markup.
  • Expert knowledge of CSS, including vanilla CSS and writing scalable CSS systems.
  • Proficiency with modern frontend tooling, including Webpack, Babel, and NPM.
  • Strong experience with version control using Git and platforms like GitHub.
  • Experience with CSS-in-JS libraries.
  • Experience building and maintaining component libraries or design systems.
  • Familiarity with Storybook for component development and documentation.
  • Experience with or strong understanding of microfrontend architectures.
