Our client is a fast‑scaling AI company backed by top‑tier Silicon Valley investors. Their product is already in production with global enterprise customers, and they are now entering a new phase of growth. To support this expansion, they are looking for Senior and Staff Backend Engineers who enjoy solving deep technical challenges and shaping complex distributed systems from the inside out.
What they are building
A real‑time AI platform capable of controlling a live browser session, generating explanations on the fly, and delivering fully personalised demos to enterprise customers. Think: hundreds of Chromium instances running in parallel, event‑driven workflows, low‑latency WebSockets, and agents that understand a product well enough to present it live.
This is not a feature‑factory environment. It's a place for engineers who want to push boundaries.
What you will work on
- Designing and scaling distributed systems that must operate reliably under high concurrency.
- Building event‑driven architectures and real‑time pipelines.
- Ensuring low‑latency communication across hundreds of browser sessions.
- Developing workflows that orchestrate complex behaviour across multiple services.
- Collaborating with a small, highly senior engineering team.
What they are looking for
- Strong experience in backend engineering, ideally with Python or similar languages.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and event‑driven architectures.
- Experience with WebSockets, real‑time systems, or high‑throughput environments.
