Mid Level Backend Developer - Java

Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate Mid-Level Java Developer with solid Spring Boot experience to help us build and maintain high-quality, scalable backend systems in the core of our Supply Chain Finance / Confirming platform.
You will work in a dynamic agile environment on a mix of microservices, batch processing, event-driven architecture and traditional J2EE applications, with excellent opportunities to grow into cloud-native and modern architectures.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain backend services using Java and the Spring ecosystem
- Build and optimize batch processes and scheduled jobs
- Develop and consume REST/SOAP APIs
- Write clean, testable code and comprehensive unit/integration tests
- Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipeline improvements and production support
- Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps and business analysts in an agile squad
- Contribute to technical decisions and continuous improvement of the platform
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field
- 2–5 years of hands-on Java development with the technologies listed below
- Strong Java (8 & 11) with deep knowledge of Java Core
- Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Cloud Stream
- Testing frameworks: JUnit, Mockito, Postman
- Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL and Redis
- CI/CD tools: Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, SonarQube
- Application servers & containers: WebSphere, OpenShift
- Batch processing development and troubleshooting
- Classic J2EE stack: Struts, Spring MVC, Hibernate, JSP, Servlets
- Fluent English (minimum B2, preferably C1) – written & spoken
Nice to have:
- Python
- Cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
- Fluent Spanish (native or B2–C1)
- Knowledge of financial products, especially Supply Chain Finance / Confirming
