A global engineering services company specializing in renewable energy, currently expanding and seeking a
Project Engineer
to support ongoing projects.

The Role

We're hiring a
Project Engineer specializing in Wind Farm Design
to lead technical design from early sitting through IFC-ready packages.
Solar design experience is a strong plus
.

What You'll Do

  • Lead
    micrositing
    , losses & uncertainty, and bankable energy yield reports.
  • Optimize
    layout
    : Roads, crane pads, foundations, trenching/duct banks, internal collection, substation/switchyard footprints.
  • Produce
    design drawings
  • Wind turbine engineering:
    selection & suitability (IEC class, turbulence, shear, temperature),
    power curve
    and uncertainty reviews,
    load envelopes
    basics (IEC /-6),
    foundation
    concept inputs,
    transport & erection/crane
    checks, and OEM interface (Vestas/SGRE/GE/Nordex).
  • Coordinate grid-interconnection basics (collection, reactive/voltage needs, POI constraints).
  • Support
    costing & LCOE
    sensitivity, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
  • Manage deliverables, risks, and change control across stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in
    utility-scale wind energy
    , with a focus on
    wind farm design
    .
  • Hands-on
    wind turbine
    experience: suitability/derating,
    power curve
    assessment (IEC , basic
    loads
    understanding (design situations, DLCs), foundation types,
    crane studies
    /erection logistics.
  • Mastery of
    WindPRO / OpenWind / Vortex
  • Solid command of
    IEC 61400
    standards, wake models (Jensen/PARK/GL, Deep Array), and bankable uncertainty frameworks.
  • AutoCAD/Civil 3D
    competence (road geometry, earthworks basics).
  • Experience coordinating
    Geotech, hydrology, topography
    and converting constraints into practical layouts.
  • Fluent
    English
    : professional
    Spanish
    is a plus.

  • Utility-scale PV
    layout & yield (PVSyst ; Rated Power)

  • Ownership mindset, crisp technical writing, and stakeholder communication.
