The Translation & Interpretation Intern will support the Product team in ensuring clear, accurate, and culturally appropriate communication across different languages. Under the guidance of senior team members, the intern will assist in translating and proofreading product documentation, user guides, release notes, and marketing materials. They will also help maintain consistent terminology and style, while learning best practices in translation, localization, and technical communication within a professional environment.
Tasks:
- Support in researching and gathering information about products, services, and technology to be documented
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and developers to understand software features and workflows
- Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation such as user manuals, tutorials, FAQs, and release notes
- Help translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable content for various audiences
- Contribute to organizing and managing document repositories, ensuring version control and consistency
- Update documentation under supervision based on product changes and feedback
- Assist in developing visual aids, such as diagrams, screenshots, and videos, to complement written materials
- Learn and follow internal standards, tools, and processes related to documentation
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpretation, Journalism, English, or Communications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
- Interest in technology and technical communication
- Attention to detail, good organization, and willingness to learn
- Familiarity with documentation tools such as Confluence or Trados is a plus
- Basic understanding of programming concepts (e.g., APIs, JSON, XML) is a plus.
- Must be studying in the final years of a degree or master's degree.
- Contract through an internship agreement with the school or university for a minimum period of 4 to 6 months.
