The control Engineer main role will have a deep understanding of the Antai control system of its single axis trackers. Antai outsources the control system to different companies. The control engineer main tasks and activities will therefore be:

Key Responsibilities

Good Knowledge of outsourced control systems:

  • Electrical characteristics
  • Communication functioning
  • General Architecture
  • Mechanical interface with tracker
  • Solar Plant Pre-Commissioning input definition:
  • Defense Strategy Parameter
  • Tacker Instability understanding

Solar Plant Commissioning:

  • Communication Interface set up with the Solar Plant Scada system
  • Tracker control Unit Setup
  • Network control Unit setup and debug

Post-Commissioning:

  • Trackers alarm management
  • Control Supplier Service management
  • Continuous interface with control provider to acknowledge new developments

Testfield at Madrid University:

  • Setup of different Antai providers control systems
  • Functioning test of these systems

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above
    in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
  • 2–5 years of experience
    in control systems, automation, SCADA integration, or solar power plant commissioning (solar/renewables experience preferred).
  • Solid understanding of electrical and communication systems
    , including protocols such as Modbus, CAN, RS485, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience
    with system commissioning, debugging, and troubleshooting of control units or industrial automation devices.
  • Familiarity with
    SCADA systems
    , data communication interfaces, and network-based control architectures.
  • Basic understanding of
    mechanical–electrical integration
    , especially related to tracking systems, actuators, or industrial machinery.
  • Experience working with
    outsourced suppliers or technical partners
    ; strong ability to coordinate cross-company technical issues.
  • Ability to analyze system instability, alarms, and operational anomalies and provide technical solutions.
  • Strong
    problem-solving skills
    and the ability to work independently on technical projects.
  • Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken) to communicate with global suppliers and engineering teams.
  • Ability to travel for on-site commissioning, testfield support, and supplier visits (domestic and international).
