Responsibilities

  • Musical editing, revision, quality control, and proof-editing of scores produced by the transcription and arranging team.
  • Transposition or modification of musical editions following given instructions or own professional criteria.
  • Extraction of parts from full scores considering all professional criteria and state-of-the-art standards (notation, idiomatic expressions of each instrument, staff size, page turn, etc.).
  • Layout and editing of scores following industry standards.
  • Conversion of musical editions from one digital format to another.
  • Alignment and synchronization of MIDI files to their respective original audio using DAWs.
  • Cataloging and organization of the company's music library.

Required Skills

  • Mastery of the main music notation software: Finale, Sibelius, Musescore, Dorico.
  • Extensive experience in musical editing, transcription, and arrangement production.
  • Proficiency in playing a musical instrument at an advanced level (+7 years)
  • Familiarity with basic applications: Excel, Drive/Dropbox, Shared Calendars, Trello, Slack.
  • Proactivity, high self-organization and time management skills, good teamwork communication, passionate about music notation.
  • Advanced level of written and spoken English and/or Spanish/Catalan.

Nice-to-haves

  • Transcribing skills (faithful 1:1 note-for-note renditions)
  • Familiarity with DAWs, or production software such as Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton, or similar.
  • Mastery of plugins and add-ons for Finale, Sibelius, and similar software.
  • Mastery of software such as Dorico or GuitarPro.
  • Advanced level of written and spoken English.
  • Advanced level of written and spoken French.
  • Familiar with advanced musical terminology related to scores, preferably in English.
  • Familiar with platforms such as YouTube, LinkedIn, Discord, and similar.

Conditions

Full-time work contract as per Spanish legislation
: 75-100% hours per week.

Schedule
: Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm approximately, Barcelona time.

Office
: 60% office, 40% remote (training 100% in-office). HQs located in Terrassa, 5 minutes walking distance from main train stations.

Flexible holidays, coordinated with the rest of the team.
