Junior Data Analyst

Do you want to work for an International Service Delivery Center in Valencia as Junior Data Analyst?

As a Junior Data Analyst at ERNI, you will join international, multidisciplinary teams delivering data-driven solutions for internal projects and leading customers across different industries (finance, pharma, industry, retail, etc.).

You will work on projects focused on data analysis, reporting, and business insights, contributing to the transformation of raw data into valuable information to support decision-making.

How do we make this happen?

With people. Besides your team and manager, you will have several support figures like a godparent, who will help you with the practical and administrative aspects of daily life during your first 6 months.

And the second most important person after you, your mentor, who will guide you through your entire onboarding and career at ERNI. You will have regular 1:1 meetings with them, and recurrently, you will work on your development plan to define your short-, medium-, and long-term goals.

What you will bring

• University degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or similar
• 0–2 years of experience in a Data Analyst, BI, or similar junior role (internships or academic projects are acceptable)
• Solid foundations in data analysis and data modeling concepts
• Knowledge of relational databases and data structures
• Experience or academic background with: SQL (querying, joins, aggregations)
• Experience with at least one BI / data visualization tool: Power BI, Tableau or similar
• Fluent English (C1 level), written and spoken, German is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain data insights clearly
• Customer-oriented mindset and willingness to work in consulting environments
• Strong learning attitude, curiosity, and analytical thinking

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (preferably Azure)
• Basic understanding of ETL / ELT processes and data pipelines
• Knowledge of Python (pandas, numpy)
• First exposure to version control systems (Git)
• Interest in data quality, governance, and best practices
• Experience working in international or multicultural environments

You will be responsible for

• Analyze structured and semi-structured data from different sources to identify patterns, trends, and insights
• Design and build dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g. Power BI) to support business decision-making
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data
• Support senior data analysts and consultants in: Data modeling, Data validation and quality checks
• Preparing analytical outputs for customers
• Collaborate with stakeholders (business users, developers, data engineers) to understand reporting and analysis needs
• Document analysis logic, data sources, and assumptions clearly
• Participate in international project teams, following ERNI quality standards and best practices
• Continuously improve your technical, analytical, and consulting skills through training and on-the-job learning
