Our client in Madrid is looking for a Master Data Specialist working alongside the Procurement Excellence team.

If you're comfortable working hands-on with SAP S/4HANA and procurement tools, and you enjoy bringing structure and clarity to complex environments, this position offers real scope and long-term relevance.

You'll work in a centralised function alongside four other team members. Your contribution will directly shape procurement efficiency, data quality and day-to-day execution.

The Role

  • As a Procurement Master Data you will act as a dependable partner for Procurement, Finance and relevant internal and external stakeholders on all master data topics.

  • Your scope spans vendor, material and financial master data.

  • You coordinate vendor onboarding activities, lead data cleansing initiatives and help maintain strong governance standards across the procurement landscape.

  • You support the procurement organisation by owning operational purchasing activities across SAP S/4HANA and Coupa. This includes planning runs, processing concrete purchasing requirements and executing end-to-end ordering for non-IT spend as well as IT hardware and software.

  • Accuracy, timeliness and process adherence are central to your work.

  • You support the full procurement lifecycle while ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies. You work closely with global procurement managers, helping them use procurement and contract management tools effectively, and contributing to continuous improvement of processes and ways of working.

  • You build strong, trust-based relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. You work constructively across functions, balancing independence with a genuine team mindset.

What you bring

  • Fluent English is essential. Any additional European language (such as German, French or Italian) is welcome.

  • A degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, Procurement, Computer Engineering, Operational Excellence or similar is preferred. Equivalent professional experience and practical exposure will be fully considered.

  • You are comfortable working with ERP systems, particularly SAP (MM, FICO, SD). Experience as a key user of procurement platforms such as Coupa or Ariba is highly valued. You work confidently with MS Office, especially Excel, and have a solid understanding of IT environments, including hardware, software and infrastructure basics.

  • You think analytically, work with precision and take ownership of your responsibilities. You enjoy improving existing processes rather than accepting them at face value. You're reliable, structured and motivated to develop alongside your team while also working independently when needed.
