Job Description
Wood is currently recruiting for an
Intern
for
Civil Engineering
department in our Madrid office.

Wood is looking for students interested in accessing the professional world through external academic internships and offers the possibility to put into practice and expand the knowledge acquired during their academic career.

Responsibilities
The selected candidate(s) will cooperate assisting and directly performing – under the mentorship of senior colleagues – specific tasks as follows:

  • Perform structural and civil calculations like foundation calculations, piling, retaining walls, , steel/concrete structures, blast resistant buildings, etc
  • Review of geotechnical reports
  • Prepare contract requisitions for civil and structural work on assigned projects
  • Prepare Job Specifications for civil and structural work on assigned projects
  • Prepare calculation reports, steel structures, concrete structures, and foundations.
  • Prepare joint connections for commons profiles using IdeaStatica
  • Check and comment of steel drawings.
  • Check and comment of concrete drawings.

Qualifications

  • Last academic year or master's degree in Civil/ Industrial Engineering or similar.
  • Spanish language at native level
  • Excellent command of English
  • Microsoft Office proficient, including strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Academic situation that allows signing an agreement with a university or training center
  • Availability in the morning (daily dedication depending on the academic situation)
