: Lead our company's efforts in process improvement, business efficiency, and operational strategy.

As a Director of Operational Excellence, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement, designing and implementing strategic initiatives, and instilling a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Your Responsibilities
A Director of Operational Excellence requires a unique combination of technical skills, leadership abilities, and industry knowledge to drive the improvement and efficiency of an organization's operations, including:

  • Proven experience in operational excellence, process improvement, and change management to implement operational initiatives that drive growth and performance.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, capable of inspiring, motivating, and developing teams towards achieving operational excellence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify operational inefficiencies and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience in strategic planning and business development to align operational initiatives with business goals and objectives.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • In addition to technical skills, the role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, as the Director of Operational Excellence will need to lead and influence a cross-functional team and present operational strategies to senior management.
  • Proficiency in project management, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and on budget.
  • Deep Understanding of operational excellence methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics to measure the success of operational initiatives and make informed decisions.
  • Adept at using technology to enhance operational efficiency, including familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other relevant software.
  • Drive the design and implementation of company-wide improvement strategies and initiatives.
  • Identify areas of operational improvement and develop plans to address inefficiencies, including footprint rationalization.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams in the adoption of Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.
  • Monitor and report on operational performance metrics/KPI's.
  • Guide change management initiatives to drive organizational transformation.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align operational excellence initiatives with business strategy.

Work Environment:
Corporate office setting, with some remote work flexibility. Travel is necessary and estimated at 70-80% for company-wide initiatives, meetings, and training.

Qualifications And Experience*

  • Proven experience in a similar role with a focus on operational excellence and process improvement
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar is highly desirable.
