We are looking for a Project Manager to lead the development, construction, and commissioning of electrical and utilities infrastructure for a new data centre in Madrid. This role will also support business development and strategy activities related to project development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead energy & utilities projects from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with goals.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, stakeholders, and utilities for HV/MV infrastructure.
- Supervise design and construction of substations and power lines, ensuring timely, budget-aligned delivery.
- Manage resources, budgets, schedules, and quality control.
- Track progress, conduct meetings, and escalate issues as needed.
- Negotiate contracts and bids with contractors, developers, and consultants.
- Evaluate site due diligence and resolve factors impacting project handover.
- Analyze deliverables, raise queries, and ensure compliance with requirements.
- Prepare progress reports to support decision-making and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Electrical, Industrial, Energy Engineering, or related
- Advanced knowledge of HV/MV electrical systems and Spanish electricity regulations; experience in other countries a plus.
- 3+ years' experience with DSOs, TSPs, suppliers, or utilities.
- Experience in planning, design, permitting, and construction of HV/MV substations and underground power lines.
- Familiarity with power line concessions, interconnection agreements, and utilities operating models.
- Data centre client experience would be a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proactive, autonomous, flexible, and commercially astute.
- Fluent in Spanish and English
