Position Summary

Internship Master Thesis – Estimation, Combination, and Application of Structural Loads on a Generic Large Aircraft (per EASA CS-25 Definition).

Join our team for a 6-month Master thesis internship to support our commitment to upholding stringent certification standards is vital to delivering high-performance aerospace solutions. We are currently seeking a driven and detail-oriented intern to support loads analysis and simulation for large aircraft structures. This role offers hands-on experience with advanced engineering tools and real-world structural challenges. This internship offers a dynamic environment to develop your skills, expand your knowledge, and work alongside a motivated, multi-cultural team dedicated to innovation and excellence.

Your Role
  • Conduct a comprehensive review of regulatory load requirements for aircraft, with a focus on EASA CS-25.
  • Contribute to the development and application of computational methodologies for load prediction and compliance evaluation, gaining hands-on experience with simulation techniques.
  • Given an aircraft geometry, mass distribution, aerodynamic, performance and dynamic characteristic, estimate aircraft load factors along the fuselage stations, combining inertia, aerodynamics, pressurization for limit and ultimate load cases, including failure conditions.
  • Automate the load application process from the tool to the respective aircraft GFEM.
  • Perform comparative evaluations of different load scenarios and analyze the influence of key input parameters.
  • Deliver insights and recommendations for methodology refinement and future application.
Your Profile
  • Ongoing university studies in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Foundation in aircraft loads, flight mechanics, and aircraft structures.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as EASA CS-25 is an advantage.
  • Experience with Python, AVL, FEMAP, or NX Nastran is beneficial.
  • Proactive, analytical, and quality-oriented approach to engineering problems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
