We're looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join a large-scale, complex software project. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly self-driven, and capable of quickly understanding an existing system to design and implement a strong automation strategy.

This is a hybrid role – three days per week in our Barcelona office.

What you'll do:

  • Quickly research and understand the existing system and QA landscape.
  • Define and implement a scalable test automation strategy.
  • Design, establish, and maintain a test automation framework.
  • Automate regression and ongoing sprint test cases.
  • Maintain and improve existing automated tests.
  • Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Mentor and support other QA engineers in automation practices.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in QA, including test automation.
  • Strong understanding of automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, etc.).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, JS/TS, or C#).
  • Hands-on experience with Git, API testing, CI/CD, and test management tools.
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and ability to work independently and lead by example.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of performance and/or security testing.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent.
